Remembering

Lakewood has for the past 9 years had a Patriot Day concert at a local park. We can't always figure out a way to go, but this year we were fortunate enough to attend. We packed a picnic dinner. The 300th Army band gave an amazing concert. We heard a very inspiring and thought provoking speech by an Army commander. We participated in a candlelight vigil and a moment of silence. The events that happened on that September 11 those years ago are very easy to forget, but that doesn't mean that we should forget. We are very blessed in this country that our freedom is preserved and fought for by so many brave men and women who we will never meet. Thank you for their sacrifice and may God continue to bless America!
