Quirky Q Day

The letter Q! Grammy gave Kyler a little gift of a couple of quarters to get the day started. Then for our activity of the day, we decided to drive over to the Queen Mary and check her out. For lunch we headed to Quiznos to enjoy some sandwiches. Then we quit.

Welcome Juliette Grace Wilcox

Baby Juliette Grace Wilcox was born this morning! I have a beautiful and perfect niece! She was born at 8:56 am this morning after they had to induce Amanda last night because of a few days of high blood pressure. Everyone is doing great now. Juliette was 7 pounds 6 ounces and 19.5 inches long. Jeremy is quite the proud daddy (and the rest of us are mighty proud of the little one too!). Kyler is a little sad because he didn't get to go up to their room at the hospital to see her, but we'll all be able to visit very soon. Congrats Jeremy and Amanda, you guys (well mostly Amanda) did great! Happy birthday baby Juliette!!!

Perfect P Day

The letter P! We had a really fun time doing all out P activities today. There are sooo many things that start with the letter P. We first had pancakes in our PJ's. Then we dressed everyone in plaid shorts (Kassidy and I even wore pink shirts with ours). We went to the park to swim at the pool, have a picnic, play with a puppy (thanks Amanda, we love Einstein), and play on the playground. For lunch we had PB & J, with fruit salad of pineapple, pears, and peaches, plus pink lemonade to drink. When we got home Kyler and I painted a pirate ship and later had pretzels for a snack. For dinner we picked up a pizza and a pie for dessert. Whew, what a packed day! (There are a LOT of pictures today, we had so much fun, and the kids we being so cute.)

A "Super" Fun Time

Yesterday we had the pleasure of spending the afternoon at the OC Super Fair. Jason and my dad were able to take the day off so all of could go. We would have gone earlier but there was a little bit of jury duty I needed to take care of. We met, like we do every year, the Holtkamps and Scheids, and Kyler a BLAST (after a period of warming up time) with Megan. They compliment each other so well. We shopped, ate, browsed, checked out the animals, ate, rode some kiddie rides, and ate. A fairly (get it) good representation of the fair experience! Here's our favorite pics.

Kyler is saying "Cock-a-doodle-do" at the rooster and it kept answering back, they thought it was too fun!

Megan and Kyler went on four rides, some were kinda intense. Megan was "being very brave" (her own words!) and Kyler loved all but a crazy twisty boat ride. They both couldn't get enough and were sad when their tickets ran out.

Thanks Rachel and Amanda for continuing our annual outing, we always have such a "super" time (sorry, I couldn't resist!).

Outstanding O Day

The letter O! Today our toys needed a LOT of organizing so that is what we set out to do. Don't worry, it wasn't all boring cleaning up all day long. For lunch we had an ocean theme complete with a hot dog octopus, English muffin oyster and some goldfish for good measure topped off with Orange soda to drink. Kyler found some orange objects (balls, a dinosaur, and a toothbrush) to buy at the store while he was getting supplies for our cookies. Kyler and I then whipped up some yummy oatmeal cookies in the oven. We even brought some to Oma later in the day. Last but not least, for dinner we had OJ and omelets.

Neat N Day

The letter N! Today we decided to make an afternoon of visiting the Nature Center at El Dorado Park. We walked the bridges and trails, checked out the tons of turtles and a blue heron, and explored the museum. When we got home we made a little dessert for later. With some noodles and chocolate we made little nests (complete with Jelly Belly eggs). After Kyler took a little nap, we took some of the nests over to each of our neighbors and even saved one to give to for Nana the next night.

Magical M Day

The letter M! Today most of our activities were done with his friend Malino (who wore his Mickey Mouse t-shirt). The boys (and everyone else too) got to mosey on down to McDonald's for lunch. They got Happy Meals and Klyer even got a little Ronald McDonald for his toy. They played in the Play Place and had an M&M McFlurry for dessert. Since it was nice and cool there inside, they also made a little craft for the day - a way cute monkey magnet (thanks, Caitlin, you are a crafting powerhouse!). Malino's mom, Crystal, even had a few M day treats for Kyler - some M&M's, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse playing cards, and another monkey to make. Later we went to the post office to mail a package to a friend at work who just had a baby. After dinner we had a cookie and mango for dessert.
