Outstanding O Day

The letter O! Today our toys needed a LOT of organizing so that is what we set out to do. Don't worry, it wasn't all boring cleaning up all day long. For lunch we had an ocean theme complete with a hot dog octopus, English muffin oyster and some goldfish for good measure topped off with Orange soda to drink. Kyler found some orange objects (balls, a dinosaur, and a toothbrush) to buy at the store while he was getting supplies for our cookies. Kyler and I then whipped up some yummy oatmeal cookies in the oven. We even brought some to Oma later in the day. Last but not least, for dinner we had OJ and omelets.

What we also learned:
Places we go- outside, optometrist, ocean, OC Fair
Food we eat- oranges, orange juice, oatmeal, oatmeal cookies, omelets, orange soda, Oreos, olives
Things around us- octopus, oysters, oven, overalls, oddballs, Old Testament, opposites
Activities we do- ogle

  1. Does Kyler even know what an optometrist is? And I don't think it is a good thing to teach him to "ogle" people, for a 3/almost 4 year only it is a little wierd. BTW you are on a letter a day pace here, are you trying to go 5 for 5?

  2. Ogle is the only O activity we could think of, maybe he is ogling toys, yeah that's it toys. Not trying for 5 for 5, just doing them when I could since I might have had to go to jury duty, no more letters for this week.

  3. Okay so I'm all over that hot dog octopus thing. Is it simply slicing, just not all the way to the top? My kids would love it. You are soo creative!! Ogling, that is a funny...what the hay...Van said thanks for boobs in his prayer the other night...right before thanks for his tummy and his back. Got to do the best we can right?

  4. Becky, yeah, just cut 8 legs by not cutting all the way up, just do half, and half again, etc. The trick is to boil it after you cut it, so the legs curl a bit.
