A Room of Her Own

I am happy to report that the giant toy dump and organization is DONE!!! We got rid of two huge bins a baby toys and reorganized everything. Amazingly everything now has a place and we even have some room to spare. Boy, we had a lot of toys - we still do, but it is better.

The other major project we were working on at the same time was changing the babies' room into just Kassidy's room. That meant getting rid of all things "Noah's Ark" and changing over to a new "gardeny," lavender and green theme. I was selfish and didn't want to get rid of the stripes I had made before (they took so much effort and I still love them) so I searched for the perfect bedding to compliment it. Thanks to the Land of Nod I found the perfect set. The wallpaper border came down and we painted a purple one of our own. The curtains were changed out for some way cute purple polka-dotted ones. Then it was up to me to do some decorating. I painted some canvases with some inspirational words, found some cute accessories and picture frames, and put up some fabulous butterflies around the room and on the border. We still have a few things to figure out, but I couldn't wait to share all the hard work we have done this past three day weekend! I am pretty proud at what it turned out like and you can tell Kass likes her new digs too! (I included a few "before" pics so you could what we were working with.)
