Spring Break - Day 1
Monday: Do some fun stuff you don't really have time to normally do. For instance, go to a movie. Grammy, I and all three kids headed off to the movies to see "How to Train Your Dragon." We all loved it, it was truly a joy to sit through (no kidding). The babies did not cry or even fuss once - it was one for the victory column. The secret, lots of individual boxes of popcorn and both little ones napping through the last half hour or so both snuggled in mom's lap. Then after dinner, we headed out for an impromptu game of mini golf at Golf 'N Stuff. It was a little cool and windy, but that's what jackets are for, right? The babies went along fairly well till the back nine, when Kassidy decided that she was done. Worst part for her was when she had to give back her pink ball at the end and all the way home all we heard was "pink ball...pink ball." When we were all done, Kyler said that it was really fun and then asked if he had the highest score. When Grammy told him yes, but that it meant he wasn't the winner, he was still okay with it. A good start to a week off. You'll have to wait to see what's in store for tomorrow.

Easter Traditions
We have a few traditions we like to participate in when it comes to Easter:
-Easter baskets filled with goodies - Kyler's favorite thing was his "down-wood derby car" (he has been asking for a pine wood derby car for half a year now!), Konner loved the sunglasses and Kassidy got her very own pink (of course) "shake and go car."
-Getting dressed up in brand new, coordinating (thank you Children's Place) outfits - Kassidy's dress is fit for a princess and the boys looked mighty sharp too.
-Enjoying time with all sorts of cousins while hunting for eggs at Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Fox's - I (thankfully) was not the last one to find my own egg this year, Kyler joined up with the "big" boys for the hunt, and the babies played and played and played (Konner takes his egg finding very seriously - check out his thinking pose).

It was a fun day, hope yours was just as sweet!

Easter Eve
This afternoon and evening we spent it at Aunt Wendy's enjoying a ham dinner with all our favorite fixings, playing at the park, doing a "practice egg hunt" (because the "real" one is tomorrow, of course), and getting all dressed up so we could have a "grandkid" picture with Juliette. We had a lovely time. I have tons of favorite photos, so enjoy!

Getting Egg-cited!
Then it was my turn to hang out in the kitchen putting the finishing touches on our cappuccino cupcakes. Each of the kids said something so sweet when they saw the finished products. Kyler said they "were cool, Mommy," Konner said "wow," and Kassidy said "pretty" (well it was more like "pety" but I'll take it). It was a proud mommy moment indeed.
Hope you are almost finished getting ready too. I'll have lots of updates in the near future since I am now officially on Spring Break and we now have some time for some fun!

We Are In
Kyler is now officially enrolled for Kindergarten for the fall! He will be going to Los Alamitos Elementary, the nearest elementary school to my work. It was a big decision deciding where he was to go, but we thought this was the best for us. I was also very nervous for a while that he would not be able to attend there. You see, we are not in the Los Alamitos Unified School District but in Long Beach's. With the budget crisis of late and with state funding tied to enrollment, we were not sure that Long Beach would release him. It was a long 2 and half weeks waiting to see if we had made the cut, but we did, and were then accepted to the school I wanted him in. Kyler is definitely excited to be going on to a new school next year. I am excited too. I can't wait to see what's in store for him. He will probably be one of the youngest in his class (the deadline birth date is December 1), but after talking with his preschool teacher, I can't imagine him not moving on up come September. Man, they grow up fast don't they.

Orange you glad...
We had a fun Fox family night out. My work BFF has season tickets to the Ducks and she could not go to Friday night's game so she offered them to us. We had a great time!! The Ducks haven't been on the best streak lately so there was plenty of seats to spread out in. I am not sure whether my favorite moment of the night was - Konner getting stuck in the seat when it folded up at least five times during the night (he is so skinny and too light to hold it down himself) OR Kassidy jumping up and down the entire third period trying to stay awake OR Kassidy's crying fit ALL the way to the car (because she had to put her jacket on) and everyone saying to her, "It's okay!! The Ducks won sweetie." OR Konner free-trowing his pacifier three rows down and having it land right in a boy's nacho chip bag (it was truly a money shot). No, it was the nacho paci. At least it wasn't in the cheese, right?

Yum...I Guess
Last week at Kyler's last soccer class, Konner and Kassidy were trying to keep themsleves out of trouble. So I guess they decided that since I wouldn't let them have the cones marking the soccer field they would play around the light pole. But of course running in circles around it wasn't good enough, so, of course, the next logical thing to do then is to lick the light pole. Yep you read that right, I said lick. Maybe it was covered in salt or sugar, but both of them thought it was a great idea. (I only got Konner on the camera, but rest assured Kass was right there doing it with him.) But it's been a week and they are still alive, so I guess no harm, no foul. Man, my kids are fun, huh?
